We did, so we built a 100% database-driven web slide show engine. Now we're featuring it on our World Wide Web site. We premiered this at our presentation on Law Firm Web Sites, Intranets, and Extranets for Minnesota CLE on June 10 at the Using Technology to Improve Productivity Conference. Then we improved it for our Minnesota Law & Technology Show presentation on September 2 on Home Page Development (and Beyond): Why Law Firms Should Be on the Internet. In its version 2.0 incarnation, it includes not only "next" buttons but also "back" buttons. One can jump out of the slides to an index of slides and jump back in wherever you want, seeing as much or as little of the presentation as desired.
In its current form it consists of database-driven web application pages and a backend database.
Result: No need for PowerPointTM, the democratic appeal of a web interface, fast execution time, and the
benefits of full web and database power on every page. Try it for your next presentation or put the same functionality on your own web site.
All you (or your customers) need to know how to do is operate a web browser.
